Frequently Asked Questions

What if I just want someone to look at my space and give me some advice?

The initial design consultation is perfect for you! This can range from 1 hour to 4 hours, and is priced at $100 for the first hour, and $50 for every hour needed thereafter. There is no obligation to commit to a residential design contract at the end of this consult. Simply book the consult, reap the benefits of our expertise, and then you can charge forward on your own.

How much would the design fee be on a remodeling project?

This obviously depends on a multitude of factors, but we can identify a likely “range.” If your project is a full kitchen remodel, for instance, hours of work (consultation, design proposal, contractor coordination and management, selections, sourcing if needed, etc) would likely range between 15-30 hours. That would equate to a design fee of $1125 - $2250.

How much does a remodeling project cost in total (materials and labor)?

A full kitchen remodel project itself would likely range from $7,000 - 30,000 and that would depend on the size of the kitchen, materials sourced, and contractors used. This is where you can save thousands by working with us. We have experience creating beautiful kitchens on a budget and we know where we can sacrifice (like which quartz providers are best on a budget) and where not to compromise. We also will help you find a contractor who is reasonable and an expert in their field - and will make sure you’re not getting price gouged. To be clear, we help you find the best materials and labor, but your payment goes directly to those suppliers and contractors - we do not take a cut and payment does not go through us!

I want to redo my kitchen but I can’t spend $10,000+. Can you help me?

Absolutely. There are many things you can do on a tight budget to update a space and we can pull out all the tips and tricks to make the room work for you on your budget.

Do you offer e-design?

We do for small projects like help selecting hard finishes and paint colors, or help on new build or remodeling plans such as advising on layout and positioning of rooms, etc. We do not do full service start to finish projects without being in person.

If I’m working with a production home builder on a new home is there anything you can do to help?

Absolutely. We have experience working with custom and production builders. We can come with you to design meetings for your new build, advise based on the builder’s available selections, and also help advocate for you to get the selections you want that aren’t available, and at a reasonable price. Did you know you can have lighting, cabinet hardware, and even backsplash tile installed AFTER getting the keys to your new build by your own contractor? There are many creative ways to build with a production builder and still make it feel “custom” - this is one of our areas of expertise!
